It's almost been a month since the 2018 legislative session ended. We are working on action plans to make abolition a reality in 2019.

Wednesday April 4th: Anthony Ray Hinton, who spent 30 years on Alabama's death row for a crime he did not commit, will be promoting his new book "The Sun Does Shine" in Seattle at the downtown library! Ray speaks out about the death penalty at every opportunity, and is a gentle and kind soul in spite of everything he has endured. Come early to make sure you get a seat. More info.

Black Lives Matter: Let's show up to these events as part of our abolition work. 

Wednesday April 4th @ 12pm - Black Lives Matter event downtown Seattle to mark the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr's assassination. More info.

Wednesday April 18th @ 7pm - "Intersectionality: Intersections in Black Lives Matter Movement" event in Bellingham. More info.

Sundays April 1st - June 17th @ 10:45am - Vigil in Solidarity with the Black Lives Matter Movement at University Unitarian Church. More info.
