Hello Team! We have some exciting announcements and an opportunity to share! The past several months WCADP has been looking for funding opportunities, and we received a generous grant from Tides that will allow us to make a big impact in the next year. People near and far see how close we are to winning abolition in WA, and want to make sure we can cross that finish line. This grant has afforded us the ability to hire staff! I will be leaving my full time communications staff role at Witness to Innocence and my board position at WCADP, and begin a new chapter as WCADP's Executive Director on August 1st. There is another full time staff role we still need to fill! We are looking to hire a full time organizer. This person can live anywhere in the state, preference given to those on the east side of the mountains. Interested? Let us know! In May, WCADP held a successful annual meeting where we heard from Senator Jamie Pedersen and King County Prosecutor Dan Satterberg. You can listen to their remarks here, and read one attendee's thoughts in this blog post. Stay tuned for events and ways to be engaged and involved! Winning together, Stefanie |
